-- without any hitches?

Guards may need to be rolled, I understand that. Car is not lowered (yet) so I see no scrubbing issues. I also have replaced front and rear shocks (GT Gas) so there should be no sag.

I also know that I have 15" stock so going up 2 sizes is legal (NSW here).

The only thing I want to know is what effect, if any would I experience going from 15" to 17"?

Speedo goes out? And what about the width increase? Any effect there?

:P

i sold my old TS (GTRICE now owns it) with ralliart Enkei's with the same profile rubber as the VRX rims. my car was dumped and it only scrubbed a bit going over bumps at hard lock so you have nothing to worry about. You'll find you might have to cut a hole in the inner guard (plastic cover infront of the front wheel behind the bumper) to stop them srcubbing but not a major.

on some info regarding speedo problems, i used these sits to calculate how bad it will be out of whack. turns out with 17's it will only be 0.5km/h out

Speedometer reading with non stock tyre is 4.9% too slow.
When your speedo reads 100kph, you are actually travelling at 104.9kph

Using: 295/65 R15 compared to 225/50 R17.

not always true, if its a 225/50/17 but if its a 235/45/17 it will be out,

That was a quote from a website, not my own words :2cool:

So you're saying that a 225/50 tyre would not offset the speedo whereas a 235/45 would?

Yeah I have ralliart enkei's (same size as the VRX) and they fit. Speedo is slightly off - but nothing major. I get a tiny bit of scraping on the front mud shield, but I put up with it - it wont do any damage.
