Hi all,
Would anyone know if I need an engineer’s certificate from a four cylinder to a V6 and do I need an electrician to start the motor? Here is what IMLACHS AUTO PARTS replied back to me…

A GOOD S/H CHECK 2.6 MOTOR WOULD BE $950.00 WITH NEW CHAINS AND CRANK SEALS. IF HOWEVER A CONVERSION TO A V6 IS REQUIRED YOU WOULD BE LOOKING AT $1800.00 WITH A START UP WARRANTY.

So what should I do, I’m confused here…

Thanks TRELLAMENOS…

Yes you will need a certificate, but for $1800 you wont get one!
Why?
Because there is no way in hell that you could get a V6 engine, brakes, radiator, engines mounts etc. all installed and certified for that.
When i had a look i think it was about $8000 to do a DOHC swap.
