Hi, was gonna change the oil and filter the other day, in a 98 magna, now im guessing the sump plug blot is 23mm, now we have 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24 lol.. no 23mm, was gonna have a go at undoing it with the shifter, but thought i would ask wats the best way to try get it undone with out stuffing the head of the bolt..

have done services and **** on other cars, but have always had a spanner to fit...

ive used a shifter before.. Be very carefull or you will kill the plug.. i when and brough a 23mm socket for my rachet from repco and it cost me about $10 and came with lifetime warranty.. good investment.. :D

you sure its 23mm???? i think its 24mm.....??

yeah pretty sure its 23.. will have another look before i go buy anything lol. but looks a bit hard to use a shifter on as all around it is angled and **** so cant keep it flat.. ah well..
best bet is to go buy a socket i guess..

Might be.. what ever size it is i brounght it. so thought it was 23mm.. :confused:

Confirmed its 24mm, if yours is not, then its not the original. Happens when some servicing places just use any some replacement for it. Happen to mine. I went to dealers to buy the sump plug cost about $1.00? or $2.00 at most.

V6 engines will require the rubber o-ring
4 Cylinder Engine uses a metal washer.
