I am just interested in seeing what has been the Best Purchase you have ever Bought for your Car Stereo???
Here is Mine..
It would have to be my Subs...The Magnat XTC 1200's
They have been the best component in my stereo and have survived Sound offs, Cruise session in my Cars for the Last 4 Years..
They Crank with just 75W RMS into them and have Tolerated as much as 300W RMS..
Everyone who has seen them and Heard them are Impressed with them...
They have Great Excursion Ability and their Bass is not Muddy but deep and Clear They have A Chunky Rubber surround and send Air out of their Custom Enclosure with enough pressure so you can feel it Hit Your Chest...
Remember No one is to Be Flamed or Insulted.. It is Their Gear and Their Opinion..
i dont really have any fancy stereo... but neither is it your stock stereo. however the best part about mine is the remote. i have my chair fairly far back and it's too much effort to reach the deck to change songs.
so yeh... the best part is the remote.

I would have to say my sub and amp, with my new DVD Head Unit.
No more cds to carry around in the car as the dvd will hold 1000 songs easily.
Sub and amp were relatively cheap considering they are Alpine, and sound very good.

Best: Head Unit JVC-GD555 (something like that) Nothing but brilliant features and ease of use couldnt ask for more)
Worst: 2nd hand sony splits for rear fill. Distort above 20% volume! Tho prolly coz they are amped of the HU

Best purchase is definately my IDMAX12, I love it! and got it at an unbeleivable price, thanks Marty aka FHRX!
To be honest I am excessively happy with my system overall. There isnt a single component that I hate, though I am likely to upgrade my JVC El Kameleon head unit in the near future. A close second in favoritism to the IDMAX is the amp that drives it, a Blaupunkt Burning Desire. Best amp I have ever had!! Has been cranking hard for the last 4+ years and never missed a beat. Next on the scale are my MB Quart Reference front splits, awesome splits that I got dirt cheap from Marc on CAA, then my PG Amp and alpine rear fill come in last :D

My Rockford T10001bd amp. So much power and it looks so hot :D
Well, it would be a close one between my Phoenix Gold QX900.1 and Digital Designs 2515 sub.
I'd have to say the DD wins just by a bee's doodle. I like them both a lot....though Im always on the lookout for another PG 900.1 so i can get ~2500wrms into my DD.
But yeah, 15" of DD goodness is pretty good sometimes....for going deaf :doubt:

Would have to be my carputer for sureeeeee, all up cost me like 800 dollars and that includes.
7" touchscreen
80 gig hardrive
2.4ghz Celeron D
256MB ram
Motherboard
Case
Inverter
All the other bits and peices to get it going.
And I laugh at my mates who spend 2 grand on a multimedia unit when my setup cost way less and can do an infinite more things.
I just gotta get some money together to buy a GPS and TV antenna then i'll really be laughing.

I used to hate driving around, shuffling through a cd wallet for a disc.
Then I got my Pioneer 51 cd stacker for only $250 (cause it was not working). A couple of capacitors and a transistor later and she was up and running!! I didn't need to lower myself to mp3s, and I've got a vast selection of music on tap :dancin:

My deck :) went to car stereo city to buy an alpine 9825, they were hella busy and all the stock was in boxes so I said I'd come back on saturday(was thurs night) so he wrote the invoice and I paid for it there, 400 dollars. He must have been a home theatre guy cause the noob wrote 9835 on the invoice :P
So saturday comes round and I'm psyched and at the same time worried they might notice the error :P I take it to the counter and the girl behind the counter goes no worries I'll just grab it, back she comes with the 9835 which was retailing for 1300 dollars at the time and I walk out as fast as humanely possible without looking dodgy lol
Ohh and the deck rocks :P

Either the MRD-M1005 - Will make most subs go nutz or my two new SWR-1222D's which blow the socks off any sub combination ive ever herd. Makes your eyes jitter on a certain note.

My best purchase in terms of car stereo is my car... Without it i can't install anything onto it.
I like all my things without one the others wouldn't sound as good, mmm complementing system components...
