When doing around 50 - 60k there seems to be a whistling noise due to the wind coming from the drivers mirror on the door...

Know this coz when the mirror is covered. around the base by putting hand around the base of it , noise stops..

Does anyone have this problem also. coz it gets annoying and how do u stop it, without removing the mirror and throwing it away!

It's normal and its a design flaw. Honestly isn't that annoying, only occurs 80km/h (circla) and above and normally I won't have my windows opened at those speeds. You can only hear it when the windows are open.

yeh i hate the whistle buddy, its the groove between the mirror body peice and the black trim around the actual mirror glass

on another note, does anyone ever have the problem of sand and other bits of dirt flicking in through the drivers side window ? it mainly happens to me when i'm behind a big truck (as they flick up bulk stuff), but yeah, a weird problem lol

try taping it first to make sure its the part line thats causing the whistle.

Yup, its a design flaw, my KJ does it and my old TJ did it, and i know of a TJ sports that does it too, a bit of silicon in there wouldnt hurt, at least it can be taken out and redone if it gets a bit tacky over time - you wouldve thought that they would have changed the design of it over the years, I dont like the mirrors at all, look at tad silly with them mounted on the doors, they shouldve stuck with what every other manufacturer does, and what they used to do!!!

I reckon the side mirrors look funky :P

i think it has something to do with a lack of window frame about bits coming in but hey the windows down look too cool...and the mirrors are an odd shape, which makes the vrx look sooo damn good...
