Round 5 of CAASQ
Double points which means an easy ticket into national finals in December. They will be running a novice class for Noob's this has never been run in Victoria before, so get your butts down

There will also be a TV show filming there, interviews with competitors, judges etc, and a chance to get your car and yourself on the TV show.

Good way to get some advice on your system. And reprazent some Magnas

Dammit, I will be heading up to NSW tomorrow... but I would have like to have gone... Get involved guys and gals! :D

Great chance for the Victorian guys to get an SPL figure from their cars and also some advice on their system.

They judges are very nice, and don't care about your equipment, only how you run it. Constructive critism only. Even Kenwood gear is allowed to compete!

I can almost guarantee that there wont be an SPL meter there unfortunately.

Sound quality only. So your system doesnt need to be loud, they only judge at low volumes

Bugger.

Often times the have an RTA on hand to do that as an aside.

Oh well, go and compete anyway. Its a good, fun day, meet new people, get ideas, listen to some awesome *drool* systems. Don't forget your fire extinguisher!

I have no idea how well my system would fair, i'm more interested in knowing my dB reading :P.

Well was a great day, good to see Clarion Magna turn up to check it all out. The Clarion demo car (not a magna) ended up taking Pro Show.

I got a 2nd after some controversy (grumble) but still an awesome day.

One of the other guys (in a accord euro) had his rca's around the wrong way. Judges listened then noticed this and let him fix it up then they judged it again.
He ended up winning.

There is a category on the scoresheet for left and right channel verification worth 10 points. He got full points for it.

Meh... it happens...

ur allowed to fix stuff and get judged again?

isnt that like running the 400m finals, halfway thru realising u forgot to wear shoes, and then being allowed to run again!!
