MUCH more appealing!!!

im bloody surprised that mitsubishi didnt do that to start off with!!! cos they loook sooooo much sexier lowerd!!!

it wouldnt be hard either to put superlow springs in place of the std springs, on the production line

what are they thinking!!

what are they thinking!!

What do you mean? They don't think. They don't create stuff with passion, they just make ecconomic decisions based on numbers. They're useless. Look at their marketing.

That's looking good, Bain. What are the springs worth? Also, how does it go with your insurance and how much lower number wise is it? Any chance of issues with driveways etc?

Springs are $125 a pair, fronts are super lows and backs are lows (they dont make superlows anymore for the back)..

My insurance is for a car that is 'lowered' as a stock vehicle (the Sports and VR-X). So insurance isnt a problem.

Havent had any issues with driveways yet.. But dont think about parking face in at car parks anymore unless you want the front fender totalled.

That looks pretty sik! Thats about as low as the GTV.. Can't wait till they set in.. The GTV has yellow springs too, not sure what springs they used though as Mitsubishi lowered it prior to delivery of the vehicle, as per owners request. So yeah.. Once they settle in if the car drops by say 5/6mm the front bumper sill scrape when taking the car into the garage. Car looks schmick mate.. =D> Nicely done.. Nice shine up of the tyres there too.. :D

Do most companies care that even though your car is lower than stock.. if you get it lowered even more wont they try to weasle out of paying you out if you have an accident? Im with GIO ( comprehensive ) and i have a TJ sportz, could i get the super lowers ( front ) and lows ( rear ) and not have an issue. Have spoken to one guy at GIO and he confused me :?

Im with RACV.. In my policy it states the car is lowered. There is no claus to say 'how' low the lowering is. Ive talked to a mate whose a Lawyer regarding this.. So any action they take i can counter :)

GIO is another ball game.. Youd have to talk to someone you can understand on that one :)

GTV i work at a holden dealer and when a customer buys a car and request it be lowered we use kings so i would thinks u have kings already if they were red they would be pedders but u must have kings.
on the insurance side i am with RACV aswell and ive got supperlows in front and lows in rear aswell im 28 years old and 11 years no accidents (started driving 16 1/2 yrs old N.S.W) and they told me they will cover me for any mod i want to do aslong as the car is roadworthy i love it all i need now is the cash to do it hahaha.

True.. Thanks LoMGNA
The TF has Pedder's springs, as they have lil pedder's tags and things like that. I am trying to get pictures of both car's but I have been lazy and I can't get my hands on a digi-cam. Once I do though, I shall get some pics up! The TF Sports is lowered 10mm standard so we didn't have any problems with Suncorp Insurance, we told the insurance broker the the GTV was lowered and he didn't have much to say except.. "Hmm looks sick!" Gotta hand it to ma 51yr old uncle.
Worth calling up again but try speaking to someone else.

Be warned, those Konis gonna cost upwards of $800 for a set of 4!! I was going to get some, but couldnt justify the cost. Plus the place i bought the springs from advised that the current shocks in the car would suit the springs fine.

Hi Guys,

I currently have pedders sports ryder springs with original shocks in my TH magna, in my opinion makes the car look 10 times better and handles heaps better too.

In reading the posts and looking at the results of King Springs super lows, I am guessing that the super lows would be somewhat lower than sports ryder? Does anyone know the height difference and wether it would be worth while investing in super lows over normal sport ryder? Also I noticed that they only have standard 'low' in the rear springs, are these any different in height to rear sports ryder springs?

One other question, will be looking at replacing the shocks also, any recommendations? Firmer the better. Not looking at spending a fortune either if I can help it...

in answering your second question. to not spend much money, but to get some bang for your buck, i believe Monroe GT gas shocks are the way to go. i shall be getting these soon, unless someone tells me otherwise

The diff between pedders and king super lows are about 15-20mm in the front. i know cos i've just changed them. dunno if the kings will settle though....

...and the rears??? any idea? :?

TheDifference

rears are the same as the pedders. interesting fact: the pedders are actually a little stiffer than the kings, so when i compress my springs its gonna be the pedders rather than the kings
