Hey everyone, first of all my car isnt a magna so just thoght i should get that kinda straight. Its a cressida and it has a 6 speaker stereo. Im looking at replacing all the speakers. They are in a 4,5.25 and 6 incch spots. 4 and 5.25 are up the front 6's r up the back. Now i have a few options. Replace the front with 5 inches and 4's and in the back have subs. Replace all the car speakers and have no subs.

I have a few problems, if i replace all the spears and hav no subs how do you work the amps out? Becuase a 4 channel amp cant power six speakers as far as i know. UNless you split two channels for the front 2? and have the other two to the back.


Im looking at the jaycar speakers (the expensive lot not the cheep as chips ones) how good are these? are they worth it? What about the jaycar amps?

I wouldnt bother with the stock locations in the cressida. Make up some pods to stick 6" splits on your doortrims. Then you can run 6" or 6x9's up the back. Then a sub.

I have basically got this configuration in an ra65 celica that has pretty much the same factory spots a cressida does. I am running it with a boss 5 channel amp. Gives me heaps of power and is clear at high volumes.

how hard is it to make pods? What does it require?

anyways, id be doing the speakers long before even thinking about subs. hell, some of the jaycar sixers have got enough go when amped to not even need subs

yeah they dont care about cressidas they are obsessed with celica's, supras and AE86's!

i will probably go the 6's and a 6.5 woofer who knows ill c what happens!
