was reading all the test drive reports you guys have posted here, now i'm tempted to go to my local mitsu dealer for a test drive in the 380. however given i'm only 21, i seriously doubt the sales men will be interested in conning me, or even let me have a quick fang(although i'm seriously thinking about buying a 380 after i graduate dont think it will happen till this time next year).

has anyone here at around my age test drove a 380 yet?

couple of months ago i was at a dealership looking at a TJ VRX and the salesmen offered ME a test drive, and i am only 18. I even asked do ya let P-Platers take test drive?

funny thing was he said "yeah, as long as ya have ya p-plates with ya" :D

i know the cars are different, but there is no harm in trying

Yeah you'll be right. Only thing is do you want the salesman along for the ride?
As above dress like ya got some coin and they'll let ya drive. If ya get a good salesman like I have seen in many occasions, they will say "go on, flog it, see what it can do" if they go with ya. Some places let me drive on my own when i was 20, others wouldn't let me drive without them

I onyl just turned 19 and I've taken one for a test drive. the best way is to make the salesman SELL you the car while you're looking at it (not litterly, but you know, showing off features and what not) ask lots of questions about things and mostly after you've developed, what we call, a retail relationship, ask about how it drives etc. and he should offer you a test drive, if he doesnt, keep hinting and if all else fails, just ask!
But make sure it looks liek you're really considering it, tell them how you've owned magna's and you'd liek to upgrade, etc. etc.

Mate ur old enough to buy a car so ur old enough to test drive one. The salesperson may want to ride with you tho, Or if your really worried, take ur old man with u.

I Personally dont see the point in test driving a car if you're not going to look at buying it anytime soon it, you just get hassled from the salesman and can't do what you want to the car, Better to Rent one or get a parent to rent one and give it a thrashing of it's lifetime in one day and then hand the keys back. thats my oppinion

Im only 18 and i intend to drive the 380. There are demo cars for this very reason. Alot of people will not be interested in actually purchasing one but to see how mitsubishi have done in their new line of cars and maybe with alot of customer service and a good car: possibly purchase one down the track. If i was persuaded enough by a good salesmen and the car was actually decent then id definetly consider looking at one of their cars later down the track.

I only just bought a mitsubishi from my dealership a few months back and im good friends with one of the guys there...so i cant wait to get in to test drive the 380 VRX. Its BEAUTIFUL

Bad idea if he then stacks the car at fault, as it's the parents' license that has been produced as being the driver. Just be straight up about it.

Also has nothing to do with the way you are dressed, as some of the richest people in the world often dress like any regular Joe just so they aren't treated preferentially.

ill agree with this. a mate of my dads own some company, but he also owns a building company and does alot of hands on work with his staff. he dresses like a tradie (stubbies, singlet and boots, has a ute and a dog) he could drop 500 on the street and not even sneeze at it (not literally but to get the point across). he was dissalowed into his own building due to his dress code, untill he fired the security guard, the desk clerk and some other guy because they ushered him out saying that their boss was coming in very shortly and he was not welcome there.

im not game enough to take the car for a test drive, i mean who would let a 17yrold kid, on his P's take a new car out to have its tits thrashed.
