if your from geelong then you've probably seen my magna drivin round. Not at the moment though. Off the road.
If you need any parts just let me know. I'm wrecking on at the moment.

Just an update I found a guy in North Geelong he quoted $300 to $400 plus parts in the end cost me $660 I need a new timing cover as it was cracked and a new balancer as someone previesly damaged it and was wrecking the belt. it's better then paying $1000.

Well there are 2 Balancers 1 balance is a chain and is the most cause of the chain rattle and not the timing chain. The other balance is the big black belt pully on the front of the engine down the bottom it's also called a balancer.

i see now said the blind man.the way u worded it made it sound like u had a damaged harmonic balancer on the front of ur engine but the pulley ur refering to thats damage is 1 of 2 it's either the crankshaft pulley, idler pulley. the balancer that u metion is the counter balance shafts theres 2 i belive. so u damaged the idler pulley im guessing, just grab another one from ur wrecker. not having a go at u, i just thought it was weird to have a harmonic balancer on the astron 2 :D

There called either "Harmonic Ballancer" or "crank shaft pulley" but the most common is "Harmonic Ballancer"

Yes it was replaced when I had all the other stuff done.
