allo all,
finally come to the conclusion that i dont like the sound of my muffler; not aggressive like all the other club members exhausts.

--Just wondering if it would be hard to find someone to duplicate the stock cutout for the exhaust on the other side for some symmetry??I'd then fit some twin tips similar to Element's.

--Would this use just 1 muffler or 2??

--How much would this body modifications cost?? Also how much would the split system into the two tips cost??

--I already have 2.5" cat back but would this need to be changed so it splits just after the cat?? Price all up??

Thanks for any help; i'd really like to try this if its not too expensive; otherwise i'll just change to berkley single system; thanks again; aj
Anyway i'm probably going to go with berkley for the muffler/s over redback, lukey, magnaflow

plastic welders would be able to do it fairly cheap, then just touch up the underside where is fresh plastic if your sketchy or repaint the whole bar

is the bar plastic or fibreglass?? i have mates who are boat builders. Would plastic welders do this sort of thing regularly

this should only use one exhaust pipe, wat u can do is hav a Y bend at the end of the pipe b4 u get to the exhaust tips. there is enough room for another exhaust tip on the left hand side (well there is for the wagons :))

yeah i will try to keep it individual; your set up has it all though thorsten; yeah my induction sounded good, exhaust; sounded wrong to me...
anyway i'd definately have to split it after the fuel tank; where's your split thorsten??

maccy d; i onlt got single cut out... tufftr cant find anyone with that username does it have a [ or something infront of it...?

Looking at it then it needs to definately go under the spare tyre port thingy; it'd be easier if it went under the rear axle; if it did go under the rear axle it still wouldnt be the lowest point...
is it legal to go under the rear axle and tyre port if not too low??

always best to go over rear axle, if you go under its way too low and will most likely get torn off over the first speed hump.

Had my dual exhaust system done after getting the supercharger on. got a hi flow cat, and lukey exhaust system, split just after the rear diff in the AWD (obviously not a prob for you). total cost with high flow cat and exhaust was 990. exhaust only 2 1/4in not 2 1/2in to prevent the drone. smaller size doesnt cause any restriction in flow as it has the dual split. sound is terrific with no drone and a little rumble to it. cut out done by ABS Bumper Bar reconditioners at Blacktown, cost $165. Then had cutout resprayed. Cost for rear bar removal, respray and replace was $300. so total cost just under $1500 for cutout, respray and exhaust. (This is all in sydney of course)

sorry I don't. being a TW AWD it is prob different set up anyhow. Thanks for the complement on the car. Not only do I think it looks good, but a supercharged AWD is a superb car to drive. I can't stop flogging the poor thing.

Dog13S: The stock exhaust pipe is 2.25inch already, so you didn't really upgrade.. :)

GTRICE: I split my system just after the rear axel. The pipe goes around the spare tyre well.

No of course I didn't upgrade, there is only two of them instead of one
If you go bigger than the 2.25 it ends up with a drone, or two loud and obviously illegal.

hey dogs...i chose not to cut so much into the bar simply because i liked the look of wear they are atm...but the guy said if i wanna make mine go in to the bar like yours then it would be $40 to do the cutting and re-mount the cannons.pretty cheep.

Jared, looks good, the reason why mine would have cost more is the act it is actually remoulded, not just cut out, as well as resprayed. all of which required the rear bar to be taken off.
