There is no reason why modification of your air intake will not give your car extra performance and economy. The TR wagon I owned until just last weekend had a air intake that was terribly placed for the sucking in gallons of cool fresh air.

From memory there was plenty of room inside the engine bay certainly a lot more than my TH to get the piping to a nice high flow area ( spotlight position is a favourite). You may have to mod the front grille.

i would like to do a CAI but without moving the washer bottle
where the battery sits, there is about10-15 cm of metal doing nothing, i would like to cut a hole to that to put the piping stright below, but im sure this would weaken a certain point, if ive written that correctly, many 2nd gen V6 owners should know what im talking about

sorry bout the pic but its all i got
Place thats free for possible CAI (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/dodgeviper89/sgerwsgrgwgWRGwerghERHGerh.jpg)

It's hard to remember the exact configuration of the car from memory but the original intake outlet is on the right hand side positioned behind the front light....where it gets any air from I have no idea.

If you took some PVC piping, attached it to the existing intake (shortened before it meets the battery)and feed it down to where a foggie would sit on a Verada then position it forward facing it should do the job just fine....a little imagination and a scoop like bit attached to the front and it will give you the perfect ramjet effect at high pressure position.

ill try to see if that will work tomorrow.
i know GTRICE has done it but has had to sacrifice his washer bottle im sure....
may i ask what size pipe you used?
