Howdy 3rd gen lads (and lasses?)

Anyone know if they make a 2002 Workshop Manual. Im changing out my springs this weekend and im wondering what needs to be removed/taken out to get to the springs.

Apparently theres a few more things to remove with an ABS system in place.

The latest manual i could find was a Haynes for the 96 - 00 Verada/Magna... Not sure if it will do the job...

it should be exactly the same.... i see no reason why it would be different...

(on the minimal chance that some parts have changed, it would only be cosmetic, and taking them to bits should be the same anyway.)

i can't see any drama's with the ABS as you don't actually have to do much to the brakes.... the suspension just bolts onto close to them and you will have to undo a small clip which hangs of the shock.... easy

Yeah i took to the suspension last night to see how easy/difficult it would be..

Turns out i need a new socket set.. So instead of buying one im heading over to the g/f's dads place to use his tools..

When I did mine on the Sports ... it has ABS/TCL .... no major difference... just be careful you dont pinch the cables of the TCL I think you need a 17mm, 14mm, 12mm, pliers, Flat head, some stands and a jack.
Once it is out to change it over youll need a set of spring compressors, pliers 17mm? for the top nut... Oh and an air compressor and impac gun makes it 1000x easier :D
If you havent bought a set of compressors yet... May I suggest a set that has the ability to stick the impact gun in the end .... I found that with an extention and a twisty knuckle I was able to tighten up the compressors very quickly and easily... Also make sure you LUBE!! the thread A LITTLE as you are winding them closed to help the turning action ...

Well the new springs are in.

Im not sure if i have a problem with them though.. The front is making a knocking noise when i turn the steering wheel.. We took them out and refitted them just in case we had done something wrong.

The only thing i can think of is that we cleaned the struts and the rubber bump stops are being remolded to the new coils.. Guess Ill see how it goes over a few days..
