Whats the average amount of Km/s I should be getting of a 91 Verada V6Ei KR. ATM I get about 350km/s off a full tank. If that isnt normal is there anything wrong with it?
What can i do to get more km/s off the tank. I drive like a grandma as it is.

i get the same sort of fuel economy, its a joke, but if you take out junk you have lying around in the car, drive with few revs and make sure you dont make little trips only long ones in the car, tyre pressures above standard help, a long with a wheel alingment.

ill try that with the tyre pressures, i have nothing in the car, do CAI or air filters help with fuel economy?

a service might help.
new plugs dizzy cap and rotor( leads if still origonal)
you might want to try a new oxy sensor
give the throttle body a clean out
air filter
tyer pressure
check to see if you breakes are draging
exhaust leak in the manafold
all i can think of ATM
EDIT: you should be getting 500+ Km with a full tank
i get the same ****house economy :(

What do you define as "a tank" ? I have run mine involuntarily to the last 3L but I doubt you would want to do that often. A more reliable method to calculate fuel consumption is:
Reset tripmeter. Run car until the low gauge light comes on. Fill until the gun clicks. Wait 5secs. Pull trigger halfway until it clicks. Wait 10secs. Pull trigger 1/4 way until it clicks. Note litres taken to fill.
Litres / (Kms / 100) = Litres per 100Kms.
On my V6 Auto I get 12.5L/100Kms driving fairly hard, mixture city/highway driving.
One thing to try if you are in stop/start traffic a lot is your idle speed. The higher it's set, the more petrol you waste sitting stationary. With mine in drive and idling, it's at 550rpm which is the lowest I can set it without engine starting to tremble.
Easy things to check, tyre pressure (I suggest 40psi cold on stock tyres), replace fuel filter if you haven't done it in the last 50KKMs or so. Check air filter.

Hey... I bought a KS Verada Wagon a few weeks back, and wow, what a shock to the system, after coming from a 4cyl Apollo! I used to get 550km out of the same size tank, now I get just over 350km! :doubt:
try putting a bottle of nulon fuel injector cleaner through it. just done it on my tr 2.6 as the fuel consumption was starting to increase. quite impressed with the result. reckon i could have done over 500klm (just ) on a full tank thats empty mark to full mark.this is city driving to.

Bought a bottle of Whynns (sp?) injector cleaner yesterday so will see how we go.
Even an extra 50km a tank would be awesome! :P

id use this product twice, as in buy 2 bottles and use it in two tanks, you should do it every 5000K. that should help aswell
