Does anyone know the pin config for the loom on a manual conversion? got everything in its just that it wont start also, friend was saying that i got to do something about the check engine light that it comes on after it has started and also something to do with the reverse light.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

If I get a chance I will look it up, have been busy though.

The trick revolves around the inhibitor switch that stops the car starting when in gear. The biggest peice of the puzzle is getting the car to know it is in gear while at the same time the start curcuit knows it is also enabled. This is more vital if you have cruise etc.

When I was looking into this I was more inclined to do the mods at the TCU itself as this will no longer be needed. If you have cruise make sure you put a switch on the clutch pedal as well

Do you have a 4 or 6

Unplug the TCU and sell it, you do not need it.

You need a switch on the clutch pedal so if you change gears while on cruise you do not over rev.

You need the car to be in gear as far as the ecu is concerned for the cruise to work however the start circuit needs to see a park of neutral signal for starting

how do i got about doing this?? will i know that i have to get rid of the TCU, but do i need a new ecu at all??? do you knw the pin configuration on the 12 pin tranny connector?? i know that the two thickest one are have sonthing to do with the ignition system. how do i wire up the switch so i don't over rev the engine while on cruise?? also how do i get the reverse lights to work again???

cheers
