Yes you should most definitely put that back in. I am no expert but I am sure if this... that honeycombe insert is important as far as the MAS/MAF sensor goes.

Are you sure the light was on after the service was done? or after you played with the air intake? Your light very much could be on because you have forgotten to put one of the electrical plugs back in on the intake.

I think it is best you just leave it alone for now until you know a bit more about it. You don't want to risk damaging anything.

It is because he pulled all the honeycombs out. He posted this same question on the Diamante forum. You need to stop hacking up your car, it hates you.

yeah, take it back to where your service was done and ask them why the light has come on already. It shouldn't have.

no no no you got it all wrong! he took the honey comb part out of the MAF which turned the SES light on and prolly ***** up the MAF and making it run like a tank. he put it back in, but it is prolly still ***** up. You could try disconnecting the battery for a while then put it back on, that might reset it.

Best to research things a bit before you do anything, but if you are not sure, maybe leaving it alone is the best and safest thing to do.

So did it get fixed? Did they say what was wrong with it?

ahh... the good ol' days of playing around with my car and breaking things and making warning lights come on and sparks fly around and things not work... i remember those :D ... if youve put everything back the way it was, i wouldnt worry about it. arnt the service lights programmed to come on at set intervals anyway? if something is wrong, then the check engine light comes on. has it been about 12 months since a service or somthing was last done at the dealership?
