hi all, hope you can help, just bought the amp cheap, but i want to run 2 subs of the amp, 1 on each bridged channel, got the rear channels bridged to run one on low pass, but the front channel does not have a lpf, just hpf or full...i'm sure there's a way to get it to run the way i need it too.. does anyonw have one of these amps and are running it solely bridged for subs only??.. if so, can you let me know how you have your settings?
thanks

run your amp of full range on all channels, and use low pass on your head unit to filter out high range. assuming you have that option

that's an idea...got 3 rca's..F/R/SW...but i can't adjust the x-over, all i can do is adjust the sw level (1 though to 8)...might not work..i'll try it anyway.

What Deck do you have. If you have a KDG 615 then yes you can adjust the Cross over..

Whats the problem???

Subwoofer out should go into your amp, Use rca splitters to split the signal into all four channels on your amp if you cant specify these settings on ur amp itself

The sub out rca is already low passed.

i thought that was the theory behind the SW rca out, so it is that simple. :D
i'll try it tommorow

yep... Check ur amp to see if you can adjust the 3+4 channels to accept input from RCA 1+2 in.
If not buy two "female to two male" Rca splitters. To connect them up.

Good luck

Check your Owners Manual.. I have yet to meet a CD player with Sub out that did not have some kind of Frequeency cut off.. They wouldn't stick a Sub out with out having a Setting Like , Low, Mid and High aswell as Levels 1 to 8..

I have the exact same amp, it runs alright, had it for ages.

I had this same problem, but i decided to go dual 12's and put 6" up front so i've got my 6" and 6x9 running off the av800 and the 2 subs running off a different amp. However, in your current situation, all you have to do is run an rca lead from subwoofer out to your amp, splitting it into 4 channels and plugging them into your 4 inputs. Then running the front on full, could even run the rear on full, do what sounds the best.

thanks for your help guys.. it sounds a lot better now..
i've got the sub out split into 4 channels, got the rears bridged running on the amps LPF (sounds deeper than the sub out x-over), then i got the fronts bridge running the other sub on full and utilising the sub out x-over.
not bad for a cheap amp
cheers

If anything you want to highpass your rears. They are not designed to play 'sub bass' They are a full range speaker that cant handle anything well below 100 hz.

Otherwise you will be getting cancellation between your sub and rears as they are using the same cavity

I think he means rear channels on his amp :).

Its early in the morning...

Ok then you should leave this to full pass so both subs are receiving the same signal.

The RCA input coming into the amps is already low passed. If you cant low pass both of them again at the amps its not worth changing one signal.
If it sounds good though who cares...
