Has anyone with a TJ Series 2 AWD got wider wheels than stock? Are there any problems with rubbing? What's the widest whell I can get away with. Iwas thinking of 17x8 - would this be ok?

I have 17x7 but with 235 45 goodyear f1's which are quite wide. Its all about the offset though but you shouldnt have many problems. It would only be if youre buying from ebay that you may run into troubles as you cant get to try them.

Hey,
I thought you couldnt put 17 inch wheels on a AWD Magna/verada?
Isnt that why they went back to 16's on the VRX AWD's and the Verada GTVI's?
Or was that only for models after TJ?
The AMG quakes fit in 18" thats what is on the sprintex AWD magna, i also have them on my KF Verada

I have 17 x 8's.
No problem at all. Plenty of clearance to the front strut and the spring cup at the front as well as the snow liners in the wheelarch.
Again no problems at the back.
Makes a surprising difference compared to the std AWD wheels and tyres.
