So, after listening to every song I have and playing around with all the settigns in my new system, I was listening to the radio the other day, and the new Black Eyed Peas song came on - My Humps - Now, this is a song I have heard before, and never thought anything of it, I've heard it at work, in my mates car, and jsut around the place. But after hearing it in my car, I'm amazed at how good it sounds and how it really shows the performance of my system, it has now become my #1 song lol lol So, what I wantto know, from all you guys with excessive car audio; What song best compliments your system?

I don't think the ones beside me enjoy it much either, but if they don't like it then they can get get a bigger system. Until then...

Anything with alot of bass.
I set my system up for high end transience as well, so it's great for techno.
Stuff like The Prodg's Smack My Biatch Up where there is alot of different layers to the sound always sounds good.
In fact I downloaded a mash up of Smack My ***** Up and 2Unlimited's 'No Limit'.
Awsome. Track can be found at http://bootleg.dj/Payroll_-_Smack_My_Limit.mp3

Prodigy is awesome, I always play smack my ***** up to people when showing them my system and always puts a smile on their face.
To show them how loud the bass can go, good old rap songs by nelly or that techno song cocaine always gets the bass going hard.
Ive got this techno song called "house bee" cant remember where its from but i just came across it one day while randomily skipping through the 6000 mp3s, and all i can say is holy **** lol
Anyone heard
goodbye my lover - james blunt, on a good system it sounds amazing, it feels like the piano is sitting on your dash board and the singer is right their in front of you.
Also andrea bocelli (i think thats how you spell it) Time to say goodbye, nothing like a bit of classical music to get the focals pumping like they should be. Im not a fan of classical music at all, but listening to how amazing songs like this sound on my system make me play more of it more often.

Pendulum & Dj Fresh - Tarantula (remix)
Pendulum - Spiral
Pendulum - still grey
techno is umm....laggy and annoying loud on my system :doubt:
sometimes i get annoyed, slighty disturbed and somewhat uncomfortable with the amount of bass with my music...its not as 'enjoyable' as it could be. I almost feel a little anxious somtimes.
Or its probably just me coming to terms with psychological problems.

Depends, i usually chill to trance when i'm by my self. If i'm showing ppl my system then i play some music i've made my self, which happens to be the most bassy song i've ever heard/made, and i have a collection of 6000 techno songs, so i've heard a lot. o_O
Some Linken Park usually goes down well too.

I'm listening to the Jet Li's "Danny The Dog" ("Unleashed") OST atm... Track 20 (I am home) has the thickest bass I've EVER heard in my life. Massive attack did the entire album, and it has mostly ambient music, except for this track which is a mix of trance with full on drum&bass.
I find that Pendulum plays well in my car, probably because of the detail they have put into the sub freqs, and Mylo's "Otto's Journey" from their new album "Destroy Rock & Roll" is a good track to play for stong bass attack and decay (tight bass). I used to enjoy this track when my sub was vented, cause I could turn the sub up without it drowning out.
Dire Straits "So Far Away From Me" also has a tight bass feel and is great for staging. Most of the tracks that they have officially made are well mastered.

yep, funky CD that :)
There has been too many "**** me this sounds good im going to keep playing it over and over again" songs over the years to name. Prodigy's smack my ***** up definetely comes to mind (hows this, i even remember the bass comes in at 49 seconds :P). Ummmm going back a few years a DJ Dean track on Tunnel Trance Force volume 17 i think it was.
Also;
DJ Micro - Tell me why (one of my all time faves)
DJ Icey song, cant remember name but says "this is the united states calling"
of late,
DJ Z-Trip - Furious
Black Eyed Peas new album (Humps does go especially hard)
Moby - Its Raining Again (steve angellos vocal mix)

tis still using the breakbeat therefore still D&B
thats teh only thing differentiating between regular dance & d&B
breakbeat....
everything else is a housebeat regardless of BPM :D

One of the hardest, clearest songs I've found is "Basement Jaxx : Rendez-Vous" My mate heard me coming from about 2km away, although my driver's window was wound down. Also to see how clear your system sounds I have found none better than Beethoven's 5th Symphony. Woah, if you want to come anywhere close to SQ then you have to have that playing as if your head is inside his grande... If anyone is in Albany let us know and I'll show you it.
