Right i want to get a new exhaust..... am not going the giant fartbox route either but i want something different. Does anyone know if the magna can have its exhaust mid mounted, im lookin at either a large oval ( 4in in length) or a dual tip with a cat back system two and a half or three inch.

Its a 3.0 2001 TJ and heres my crude chop to illustrate my point...

Might have to do some chopping through the tyre well to be able to come out there,
not sure if there is enough room between that and the bumper?

Youd be paying an arm and a leg to modify your spare wheel well to get it done properly, id say its not worth the money for potential gains, if any, or for the look.

I dont think its a viable option, plus another bend in the exhaust wouldnt be desirable to flow.

Well for a start if u start cutting / modifying the wheel well area then u start playing with ADRs... Also the exhuast has to be EXTERNALLY fitted to the car... hence if cut thru the wheel well it becomes illegal...

Also if u dont cut wheel well it will look shiate due to the low hanging effect it will have ...

Stick to one on either end if u want something, or leave exhaust where it is on the car!

Well He did state he was not going a Normal Route Black D was merely pointing out you had not read the post properly..

What about Side Exit Exhaust, F-250 Ute style out of the Side of the Bumper Bar ??

if your gonna do it, go the oval, but it's gonna cost you ( as with everything in this world), it will be interesting to see what it would look like, it's not a bad way to try and make a name for yourself

now now, play nice..

you were a newbie once too remember, tolerance my good friend.

But johnosmagna, im fairly sure you were actually in your chair typing in this thread, and not in fact out driving your magna, considering it is highly illegal to attempt both at once.

Now for the on topic stuff..

Personally im not a fan, but is it possible to somehow fit the piping along the inside of the bumper?

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y281/Yariiice/centre.jpg i seriously doubt ur gunna get anyone to do that for you without charging you ur right testical for it. u gota do a alot of modding for that tyre well high mounting the piping cuting of bar remountng brackets realignin a muffler and piping etc. you best of goin twins if u want an easy custom look but if you just wanna sports exhaust just use the factory blue printed setup.easyiest way.

I was looking at doing somethink similar but with 2 twin tips like the BMW M3, run your exhaust under your spare wheel (no chopping) and latter on get a rear lip made with the cut out for your exhaust.

I'm no mechanic, but wouldn't you be able to run it up behind the bumper, then then turn it outwards in the middle of the bumper? then you wouldn't need to cut into anything, but would prob have an extra meter or so of exhause pipe?
