you will need custom rails made, aswell as a engineering mod plate. the engineer will be able to mod plate it and modify the rails him self.

Looks good mate, but why do you need racing seats.

your problem is that ur using the stock magna rails yes? and they sit waay too high!

looks like ur gonna have to get some universal sliders and bolt some sort of bracket onto them and the seats, cos they sit alot lower.

If ur lookin for universal sliders, try asking dudes on ebay that are selling seats with sliders cos theyre likely to have spare ones.

the problem i had with my seats that the mounting points of the slider's were too narrow, all the guy did before me (althought quite dodgily, jpeg will back me onthat one) mas basically weld soem steel together and put some holes so the slider would mount into that and then the steel plates would mount into stock bolts in the ground, pretty simple really

tho all seats are different, and are universal sliders ADR approved?

I understand what they are for mate.

But the seats arnt the bulk of the cost. Unless he knows a engineer then it will cost another few hundred for the mod plate alone, even if its just an adition letter on a pre-existing plate. And without the plate if he gets pulled over he will have to pay a fine aswell as remove the seats and present them to RTA etc etc.

Its a huge hassel and they dont even look like they have harness mounts.

maybe he wanted some racing seats in his car? its his car i dont question why people put mods on there car, all i care is how my car is

just the way u implied it is that he had no use for racing seats so why put them in (which is why i got rid of mine, i like big cushy leather seats for my big cushy ass)

also snr88 asked alot of questions before getting the seats and i kno i told him they would have to be engineered for them to be legal and would have to make a bracket to mount them, so he knew what he was getting into

and yeh, its a hassle, like any car mod why bother at all?

all im saying is dont question his motives behind the seats, he wanted them and hes gunna put them in simple as that
