Try URL www.drive.com.au and click on to Value My Car. It tells basic stuff about any car, but not details like you are after. You might need to contact Mistu - then again, would they know either.... 8)
Would service/repair books tell such details?

hey haydn... did they tell you much about corner weights???? i've talked to a few people about that ( a while back now, when putting springs on, and no so called professionals ever worried about it, they new of it but never worried about it....
i can see how the ultimate in balance will be effected but in our situations will it make a big difference???

I wanted to know the corner weights for the two fronts... but I have since changed my ideas of what I wanted to do...
So... I dont need it any more..
For most people you dont really need to know it...
The stock springs will have a certain rating ...(most shock places should know these anyway) and all you do is get the shocks you want and the lowered springs with the same poundage as the stock ones...
Corner weights wont help alot for general suspension work.

Theoretically in a simplified model the weight is distributed evenly throughout all 4 wheels, so each wheel supports 1457/4 = 364.25kg.
In reality the weight distribution is different, front to rear it should be something like 65 front/35 rear maybe more for Magna like 70 front/30 rear because it's FWD. So then our simplified model is front corner 510kg each and rear 218.5kg.
The rear would be pretty evenly balanced, but the front I would expect it to be like 60 drivers/40 passenger because the motor weighs more than box/diff combo; so front right (on TE+) 612kg and front left is 408kg.
So:
RF: 612kg
LF: 408kg
RR: 218.5kg
LR: 218.5kg
(These weight distribution figures are educated guesses, the real ones are easy enough to track down and substitute.)
Whether suspension mobs get this detailed I don't know, suspect that only R&D boys at spring/shock manufacturers do, workshop guys just read catalogue and ring up R&D if needs be.

i'd doubt it would be a 60/40 split Ray, thats a lot! considering the engine is in the middle and the gear box is back in kinda under/behind the engine....
mind you, i havent checked the destuction manual (so i could be wrong) but i'd doubt they would engineer it to be so uneven!!!
considering all the other technical issues involved, i'm sure they didnt over look that!!!

Yer your right, that's a bit too much of a variation. Maybe it would be like 52/48 R/L... I wonder what the actual figures are (if they are published)?
Just when I looked at my mate of a mates TH auto it seemed to be more on the right side than the left but on reflection not by much. Whereas my TN, that was more noticeable.
