In preperation for the arrival of the bodykit we are having made i will be putting it on my car first.

So i've decided to modify my grille so that is looks like the one featured below.

http://www.aussiemagna.com/images/magnapics/m051.jpg

Basically it will just involve cutting out the centre piece with a hacksaw and patching up the holes and gaps with something and sanding it all back and paint it with the kit. Im going to mesh it up when im done.

Any idea's what i should use to bog it up? i was thinking fibreglass but i don't have any experiance in using it. What can anyone suggest?

Fibreglass is probably the best (and trickiest) one to use.

Otherwise you could use knead it maybe? I dunno...

A bloke on www.antrx.com removed his stock tail lights and replaced them with R32 GTR ones on his Pintara TRX. Involved a lot of fibreglassing and he reckons if you can get someone to do it for you, pay them to do it. His is not finished and it's still taken him hours and hours.

blake dont bother with fibre glass its to hard and it would probably melt the plastic , just get a little can of body filler/putty much more simple and easy

Me suspects GBM wants to see the bodykit asap?

I've got to keep myself occupied on sundays with something... might as well be on the car. Sunday is my no work, no anything day.

I've always wanted to do that to my front grill, and I think I will.

I'll try some stuff this weekend and post the pics. I have the same front lip as the car in the photo and that front end looks ****in horn!

I'm going to use back mesh and I might add a mitsu triple diamond in the middle of the mesh, have to see what looks good :)

Anyone looked into the price of a ralliart grille. I love the look of that grill and if it wasn't too expensive was just gonna get one of those rather than butcher my grill up.

I've got a TJ and the entire grille is one peice meaning that to get rid of the standard plastic grid pattern in the middle, and replace it with mesh would involve some serious hacking. Much easier to buy the ralliart grille with the nice black mesh and colour coded surround.

Apparently its about $600 AUD. Hrmmm, i think id rather butcher mine. As mines and don't have the shark nose bonnet, im going to do a wide mouth grille.

FIxing up your grille - it's probably not the answer because I dont know what effect it would have on long term cracking, etc - but what about using car bog?
