Such a subtle difference that makes all the difference to a car. Good work.

Looks pretty good mate. If you want further advice etc, I think you should be talking to an AMC member called "Bunbury Motor Sports". As per this thread, http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20970 he is selling modifications to the headlights and / or grill if you would like on TL / TW Magnas.

makes quite a difference! definately original, only nit-pick would to maybe have the edge of the vynil around the light black, would blend in a tad more i think

Yeah it's hard to get it round the rubber, one light is better then the other, mainly because the seal was recesed in a bit more so it was easy to curve the contact arround it. Once i have the final design i will take the lights out and wrap then so you can't see the seals.
As for the matterial, it's a contact that you get from homewares at mitre 10. It's like contact except a bit thicker and reacts to heat so it can be shrunk or expanded.
thanks for the comments all.

Honestly I think they would look a great deal better if they were a little more angular.

are u sure this wont cause problems once u leave the headlights on for a while?

yeah no problems so far, the lights don't get as hot as ones with a glass lenses, plus while driving the lights get cool air over them. The contact needs about 60-70 DegC to srink or expand, but only prior to sticking on, once the contact is set down and stuck it is VERy hard to move arround even once heated. So far though no problems.

I don't mind criticism but could you explain why so that i can make it better.

If you want to make it better then i wouldnt be using contact unless you are using it as a basis to make a final mould for some fibreglass.
It looks cheap and tacky as it is and the whole 'teardrop' look makes the car look 'pansy' looking (best word i can come up with).. Certainly not a car any 'wogs' i know would be seen driving with the plastic on the lights..

damm it makes the lights looks a hell lot better..i'm not a big fan of the swooping headlights but if i had my way i would have done it differently...i'm a conservative sort :)

Yeah she's not a wogs car for sure, i use to have an HR30 skyline, that ran 12 second quoters, but family=Magna.
AND yes the white contact is just to see what i like before i make up some molds out of fiberglass. Once i have the final shape that is.

I would probably go with a straighter cut across the top (to level out the bonnet across the car)
Good idea previewing with the contact first.
