Hey all,

My car ATM doe not have power windows.

If I were to buy power window mechanisms/switches how would I be able to connect them to my Magna (as in wiring them up, not installing them in the door)?

Is there just a switch or something hiding under the dash where you just attach it or what?

get evertying u need from a wreaker, from something like a vereda then u will have everything u need, even the door trims

Too fit power windows to a 2nd gen that doesn't have them involves replacing the main body wiring loom with one from a car with power windows, you also need the power window relay from the relay box under the bonnet.
Easiest way to fit power windows is to fit complete high series doors.

I disagree, so changing doors and having to repaint is easier than fittin elec regs, modifying a harness and having elec windows.

It is not brian surgery to do this job, just patience.

Or I guess it will be easier to get complete doors and re paint them or better still why not repaint the car to suit the doors :bowrofl: oh, sorry, get doors the same colour, the donor car has never had a touch up and the donor doors were painted with the same batch, have seen the exact amount of uv light and will be a perfect match,.....my bad

anyone have an idea what it cost to pay an auto elec??

as in i go to wreckers get all regulators door trims etc and harnesses and plug in everything that is simple then go you do the rest?? im personally just not sure about the necessary equipment from under the bonnet, the relays and harnesses etc

power windows are a waste of time, mine constantly screw up, ie they wont go up or will go up slower than a wet week. Manual windows are good because they weigh less and have less chnace of screwing up.
