Hi all,

I've been looking everywhere (with no luck) for the specifications of the standard audio system that came with my Magna. I didn't receive a manual for the sound system and the standard Magna Owner's Manual isn't any help.

I own the Magna TL AWD, and I am thinking of upgrading the stereo system. If anyone know the specifications (eg, amp wattage, speaker wattage, dimensions, type, brand etc) please let me know as I'm going nuts trying to find them (without physically pulling out the system and having a look).

Thanks,

Ok as far as I can Tell

The Stock Head unit is 4 x15Watts
The Speakers are rated around the same unless you got the upgraded ones..

Easiest way to tell is to open up your Boot, look at the Bottom of the speaker Magnet and get the rating off that ..

This is all irrelevent if you are going to replace all the Gear.. as Aftermarket Equipement will still run the stock Gear although not at High Volume..

Speaker sizes are different though are a Different Matter

Dash: 2.5 inch Paper coned Tweeter
Front Door : 6 inch woofer but will take a 6.5 inch
Rear deck: 6x8.75 but can be replaced withmost aftermarket 6x9's with a Shallow Mounting Depth as if you go too large the Magnet can hit the Boot support.

It all depends on the Goals you want to achieve..

A Simple Upgrade is to replace the Standard Deck with an aftermarket CD player from Pioneer,JVC or Alpine..
This upgrade alone will provide a vast improvement over the stock deck

That's what I'm thinking about. I would like to upgrade the spreakers, put in an amp etc, but cost is a major factor at the moment. I don't want to spend more than $1,000 on a system.
