Newcastle Magna Club has it's first 380 member.
We are enlightning him to AMC and should see him make an appearance here shortly.
Has anyone else got one yet? Just confirming bragging rights :bowrofl:
He is coming on a cruise we have on Sunday so photo's of a 380GT rubbing shoulders with the Newcastle Magna's are also pending.
Will keep you updated.

Oh well, time to confess....
I took delivery of a Storm 380 GT yesterday in Newcastle.
This is my sixth Mitsubishi.
First was a TR that I kept until I had to move Overseas.
Returning to OZ I got a TS Advance (first of the 3.0L V6s with 5 speed manual),
I upgraded to the TE Altera when they first came out. I had to wait 6 weeks for delivery.
I swapped to the Pajero NL to go off roading.
Later swapped to the Pajero NP for the great Di-D diesel.
But the Paj costs more to own :(
We were really not doing off road much anymore, so I considered the 380.
I have read a lot today on the AMC forums, some good, some bad, some praising, some bagging the 380.
At the end of the day, it comes down to whether you like the 380 or not and it is very personal and highly subjective. Yep, you can beat me in the quarter, but that's becuz I am a 'Pops' - I got the car for comfort, quiet, luxury and yes it has a modicum of power. I like the styling and the interior refinements. I love the way my bluetooth phone just works when I get in the car. Brilliant - it even pauses the CD when I get a call. I like the seat memory, when someone else drives (if ever - hah!), I can get my settings back quickly.
I know, none of this is related the the raw performance of a vehicle, but folks in my age bracket don't always put performance at the top of the list.
It's interesting, when I drive, it's like a luxury sedan, but when my son gets behind the wheel, it really flies.
So go ahead, bag me out if you want to :P
 I am very happy with my 380 GT :D

congrats on the car.... and more importantly welcome to AMC..
you will have to get some pics up for us, although we have all seen the 380 to death now :bowrofl:
just goes to show that you are a target buyer for the 380 and as you said, power on the sports models arent a massively important issue for you.. a lot of people have been bagging it out becuase it has the same engine/power across the range.. just goes to show that at least 1 person that has bought the range topping GT isnt that concerned that it doesnt have any power increases..
anyway well done with the purchase, no doubt you will enjoy it!!

Thx for the welcome, forgot to mention that it has a sunroof.
I have never had a car with a sunroof, ever. It's awesome - I forget to pull the shade closed when I park it. Last night, I was a passenger in the car and just enjoyed looking up at the stars. Wow.
Oh yeah, there will be pics from the cruise coming this Sunday.
Cheers,
Pops

Congratulation on the 380 Pops. Any plans to lower it and add a decent set of wheels.
