Anyone know if the location of the exhaust tip that the AL4-5597 lines up where the VR-X tip would sit? I think so but I'm not sure. Now I know that an exhaust shop could move stuff around to put muffler packs relatively where ever they want but I'm wondering if many off the shelf mufflers that also put the tip in the same location?
Here's why, I'm thinking of getting my exhaust upgraded and want to make sure the tip sits in the right place to have the VR-X rear skirt sitting around it like from factory. Unfortunately I'll have the exhaust done before I have a VR-X rear skirt handy.
Any thoughts?

I would delay and get the skirt first then do the exhaust..
As sometimes it is hard to align the exhaust for a future Rear bumper bar without it being there

They should be in the same position Redav, but, as I had my exhaust done first, then the genuine sports bodykit added later, and it fitted straight up at the right point, the guy that did it aligned it all first with the old muffler, as on the normal rear bar I think there is only a small cutout.
And also remember that there is heaps of room for adjustment in the tip alone, if it needs to be altered a little bit when you get your kit, so there really should'nt be any probs.
A realignment of the tip should be no more then $20, but its there if you need it.
Cheers mate.

Try finding a vrx in a car yard and take some measuremeants from both sides of the bumper to see where abouts it would sit in your car

Hey C!
Get the rear bar FIRST, then it's easy to align the muff when installing it, rather than going back later taking more time and money to fix it. Cutting and welding around the tip can look ugly too.
i wanna get oval tips, but want them moulded into bumper kinda thing, not really sticking out the bottom, is it possiable just to cut rear bar a bit so the sit flush or what?? Ive got a stock TF

The last stretch of pipe doesn't go over the rear cross member, does it? Any issues with suspension geometry? I guess not.
