hey i'm looking at getting a car with a '6G72 3.0 litre 24v DOHC NA' motor, manual. Its on its way to Australia at the moment. But the seller says the idle is 'unstable' and says it could be electrical or mechanical he doesnt know yet.

So my question is whats the most it could cost to fix if it was some kind of mechanical problem? and if worse comes to worse whats an average/approximite price to get a similar/same engine + installation?

How long is a piece of string - seriously - whats the point in buying someone elses problem. It could be a variety of factors - probably an oxy sensor but who knows.
