any1 now if its possible to modify the switches on the power windows...
can you swap switches to have the pass side switch have the auto down like the drivers.
Can you get them to auto up?
can they be made faster?
Cheers guys
Tim
PS i'm already gonna put in 1 of the auto wind up alarm module thingyies.

yeah thats a good point, Magna windows are relativly slow in comparison to other cars ive driven. and the no auto up is so simple but annoying not having that feature i wondered if you could just have the motors changed from another vehicle with faster windows, or if the original could be adjusted?
anyone know anyhting about it?

taking apart the drivers side switch module should reveal some answers, find out what extra wire goes to the drivers window switch and tap it to the others if possible. That should make the auto down feature available for all windows. Auto up... i dunno how useful that would be, what if you jsut want to have an inch or so open but only have auto down and auto up? Making it faster? i could only assume if the motor is getting less then 12v there's a resistor in the line, remove it or decrease the amount of resistance and it should get faster, though you might run the risk of burning out the motor as its taking more volts then it should be getting from factory.

I had a good look at the winding mechanism today, and I think its slow mechanically more so than the motor is stepped by resistance. You don't really want to close all windows at once either, run the risk of drawing too much current with all 4 motors going. Thats why most power window closer kits (fyi only around $30) do one window or 2 at most at a time.
