ok heres the story...
i have been fixing the car for about 3 weeks now, after work and stuff.
i had a trailer next to the car and used it for storing parts/ workspace/ cleaning bits.
last week dad took the trailer to the tip which he filled up with rubbish, along with my carbie, exhaust manifold, waterpump, all the fricken little vacume hoses and my distributer and all the leads and plugs. dad didnt realize what was in the trailer was NOT rubbish and just chucked the lot...
NOW IM REALY STUCK....
ive all the other bits off a wreck, and im stuck at the exhaust.
the wreckers wont give me a carbie exh manifold for any less than $85 "SFU retards..."
I have installed the HiTech extractors, which have the flexi pipe attached, then about 1 meter of pipe. what i want to do is connect the 1m pipe to the existing exhaust. how do i do it? what is the best way??? my mate has a welder but is pretty limited in skills... im stumped so any help would really be appreciated. The guy at my local exhaust shop quoted $180 for a new 2" system including a redline x flow? muffler installed. is this a good price? he said if i take it easy i can take the back roads to the shop with just the extractors on he can do it, he also said it would be "rather excessive in noise"! ha ha Really?
Thanks guys...
