took my car in to get it serviced yesterday and the mechanic told me that my power steering fluid has been contaminated.
how would i go about giving the power steering fluid a flush? ive had a quick look around on the forums and couldnt find too much help. Just need a bit of a helping hand into doin this.
Thanx

when i was having my old pulsar serviced the guy called up saying that the power steering needs a flush and they have a machine on test so they could give me a 50 buck discount (normally was 150 or 200). they ended up doing it anyway (probably before they asked), so i got it done for free. my fluid was pretty bad and it did help a fair bit as the steering was smoother. so, not really worth it, but if you have to do it...

you could disconnect the hose from the pump, or where ever the lowest disconnectable link is, and just drain it. It shouldnt be that much of a drama. Then just fill it up again.
How did it get contaminated and with what other fluid?

wouldnt have a clue im afraid, was more concerned that my front tyres were a little bald and that my rear discs needed to be machined
