Hi ppls,
Now here is my problem. cruise control sometimes turns on, I press the CC button and the light comes on, then when I want to set the CC the "cruise" light doesnt come on and u can feel it not setting. Spent this whole bloody week at mitsu (great place btw), replaced the switch, replaced the CPU, riped apart the steering wheel.
Just thought u guys might have hints and or tips.

The dealer hasnt come anything like this before.

did they check the clock spring

You check the brake switch, it might not engage as there may be a fault with it.

This problem sometimes caused by a bad earth where 4 black wires bolt to the passenger-side bulkhead
Just scrape the paint and gal primer back to clean metal and bolt it securely.

Ive heard that LED bulbs in your tail lights can affect cruise control also

ive had it for 3 years now :rant:

yeah my guess, like others have suggested, is that maybe there is something going on that is making the cruise control think you are applying the brakes, and ofcourse cruise control stops when the brakes are enguaged hence why it wont come on..

Yeah, came to that conclusion this morning, Im getting RBA's put in this morning and new brakes pads, (the disc's on my car were(are) warped, so Im getting them changed. I told my miss's I would laugh if changing the brakes would actually fix this problem.

Update: (for anyone interested) replaced the brakes with slots (thanks Anthony) and now cruise is working for some reason, Melville Mitsu wants to check it out still so in their minds they know what to do next time.

That's just friggen weird.
