:bump:
Nexus had a thread about this.
If you search for it, he had a detailed procedure of replacing them.
He changed the lights for the 'D' etc....
Really informative.
By the way, whats the 'CC' light?

i think he's refering to cruise control ( CC )
taking the cluster out is easy, just get yourself a service manual. best 30 odd dolars you can spend. the globes are cheap as chips aswell

I had to change the D light in my car. Basically you have to undo the 2 screws at the top and then pull the dash out slowly, might need a bit of a tug though.
Then behind you'll see little black things poking out, you need to twist them anti-clockwise and they should twist right out. The D light you'll need to go to Mitsubishi for, and they cost around $8.
I believe the other lights in the dash you can buy through Narva though, AND although you cant change the colour of the lights for the transmission (P, N, D, 3, 2, L), you can change the background light by buying the Narva sleeves. Theyre around $2.50 a packet and make your interior look real schmick. I might take a picture soon and post it up here.

the colours is part of the panel molding, can't remove
& will look funny putting coloured bulbs/LEDs behind it

i bought my car with the D light not working, when after i had my head unit replaced, it worked, then one night not long ago it decided to not work, then i gave my instrument cluster a bit of a tap and it flicked back on again, try that :D

EL panel would be great, standard black blacklits seem a bit dim for my liking.
Was digging into the TH's dash this w/e, investigating all the bulbs' function...
anyone noticed the "4WS" light??! (rightside bottom)
