I found by accident yesterday while reseting the trip computer after filling up with petrol....
If you hold in the ^V arrows at the same time for 2 seconds it turns the speed alert off!
Who knew about this?
Well I was amused with finding it :D

I knew about it, when I got my car back from service once it was turned off, so I played with it a bit and yeah figured out how to turn it off once I turned if on again. its still fun having it beep at you even when you turn it to 190, "sorry office my speed alarm ONLY just started beeping when you pulled me over..."

when you leave the dealership they are meant to go thru everything like that.
ive actually put mine back on to 110 its handy when you sometimes get angry and floor it.

mine was always set at 195 (the highest setting) up north - and when you hear it beep it brings you back to reality pretty quickly as normally you had only just shfted into 5th!!
anyways - i currently have it set at 110 for the 100 zone on the freeways - i try to stick below 10 k's over the limit!!

turning the speed alert off was the first thing i asked the salesguy when i picked up my car. :D
ahhhhh memories!!
I rememeber Getting my magna from the dealership ahh that fateful day!
Ooh speed alarm lets play with it!
set to 40 On school days...
Then it went to 50 for Suburban Driving...
Then it went to 60 for most roads...
Then 70 for the coasting roads...
all in one day with my mate sitting next to me going wow speed alarm is soo cool!!!
next day he saw me i set it to 110 he laughed...
The day after that he saw me it was turned off...
its good for if your about to lose your licence and you need a constant reminder.... but i think on my part its useless!! so off its stayed and yes i have the manual for the car and no i still havnt read it :P
I just press buttons.. im that kinda guy.. i like to press peoples buttons and see what happens :P

I knew you could. when i 1st got the car i was the same i used to change it to what ever zone i was in. These days i leave it at 85 or 105. It sucks how it only goes to 195 even tho the car is limited at 210 lol

I reckon it comes in handy, mainly just when your sitting on 60 for a while and your speed starts to creep up for what ever reason, if it only saves you from one speedig fine or even an accident then its a good thing. Although after a while you just stop hearing the beeps, either the musics up too loud or you unkowningly just ignore it.
