your doing alright if you made that yourself, but with that big f-off front bar you'd want the power to match, supercharge as you said, i think turbo'in would be easier though.
nice work

thats looking pretty mean.
good job.
are you gunna go full respray after its finished because your roof is looking a little aged, same thing happend in my dads olive metalic green TR
with a **** off kit youd have to go with black that would look hot.
hey got my new car today, manual...:) yeah the marone/burgendy car ignore that because that car is my test car, engine on that is commin out and into this one i got now, pics are as follow, i have still got bigg ass flares, skirts and rear bumper commin, there all gonna be easier cause im not gonna be making them from scratch, basically its gonna be tha fattest W.A car, and of course with the looks im opting for power, the engine swap will give me time to work on the engine while it out...pics are ass follows of the car i piked up today....
as soon as the car came in i got to work, next w/e is the swap between the 2 engines and rims, after that ill have bodykit done, i have extractors for it already, thanx to monga with the turbo magna
oh i also made a custom box for my sub - slot ported and tuned, if ya really interested i got pics and she goes unreal :) unfortunately ive been off the read to long now.

If I could make a wild styling sugestion... I don't want to impede on the artist at work, but IMO, the car would look sick with lights that flow from the bonnet and quarter panels down into the bumber. i.e. angled up rather than facing down like the 2nd gens have...
Catch my drift?
I recon you could fit 3rd gen parabolics in with a bit of work, which could look really good, as they'd flow from the bumper smoothly up to the bonnet. It would probably be a bit of work, but by the looks of things, you could handle it.
Biggest probs would be space, matching the quarter panel and securing them. Could look awesome, might not... dunno, haven't done it. Can someone photochop this into the pics given? That would help heaps.
Let us know how it all goes, and congrats on getting it all started. Takes balls to start such a big project.

yeah i was thinkin that idea, with the magna headlights, but ive got something else planned for that, there will be 2 circle lights on each side in black casing and black grill, similar to the ones on the ford XR EB- ED models.
ive had no experience with molding fiber glass just the sanding i know and finishing because i did a full years work exp, at the spoiler shop prepairing bodykits, and i learnt by askin them and watching like id always say how u doing thay, whats this for....etc, so thi is all new to me atm...i guess in the end ya just gottta do it, only if u have a slight clue to what u are doin..

Fiberglass moulding is pretty simple really, I've had experience with boats and surfboards.
What are you intending to do with it? It's pretty versatile stuff, strong and easy to use. Just takes a while to dry between sets.
Danno
yeah fiberglass is just a pain to work with if not done propperly and for what im doin u need industrial size stuff and in quantities...i have done one layer of fiberglass on it so far, now ill go around and flatten it off with filler and fiber putty for larger areas, then more layers afta that.

Heaps of sanding I spose hey, And you'll want heaps of glass with not too much resin so it's strong and won't crack when it flexes...
Big job mate, like I said, you got nurries to do sucha big job lol
If you need a hand sanding... I'll probably be at the beach or something, so don't call me lol
Having said that, I'm not going to end up with a sick car by going to the beach...
Good luck, and keep us posted.
Cheers,
Danno

Great work mate, it is good to see actions louder than words... all the best.
One question, do you have any idea how much that is going to weigh and what it does as far as load on front end suspension and handling? I wouldn't have imagined much but the second gens seem to be pretty well balanced.

if your using fibreglass try and get your hands on some glass mat, not just chop strand mat. The fibres in proper mat make it so much stronger and easier to work with than choppy. If you can source some epoxy resin instead of polyester resin you will get more strenght using less resin and fibreglass. Look up FGI in the phonebook or on the net and have a chat to those guys (Fibre Glass International)

unreal, now i can head around yours and rip off all the parts i need hahahh
mate, that looks awesome! i love the c-west style bumpers, they are so cool! keep up the good work dude :D
if i wanted a skiline bodykit, i would have just ordered one and moulded it to my car, would have been much less work, the thing is even with the sideskirts and rear bar from a vx clubby, they will be heavily modified, fat flares are gonna continue the bodykit line all the way around, sorta like a tourin car in lemanz but not that fat, i was thinkin should i get the rims 1st and then bodykit or the other way around.?

Agree. The stuff also sets smoother and you can apply it in strips rather than patches. Get fine weave too, 4oz should do it as long as you put a few layers of it on.

if the front bar is to heavy i will make a mould of it preferably of woven glass mat and epoxi rezin, stronger and lighter, but atm im going to work on it and finish it off, but when weight really becomes an issue i will change it and mould it, i will not reproduce this front to sell to others because i am out to be unique, but i can help others with different styles, like off other cars, u can really make any front bar fit any car as long as its with in the limist of the magna TR front, me i was just lucky i never measured or planned i just went in head 1st and did it..it will prolly even out when my sub goes back in hehe.

bumper wasnt c-west, its was an original BOMEX for a 300zx, i chopped the bar up and kept some parts as the framework, as for the front lip, thats a japanese secret i got told about buy the guys who made that F*** off wide body for the Toyota Supra 93 an up, its called the Abflug http://www.fast-autos.net/abflug/supra5.html

Jeez that bar looks sensational!!! Its definately not my cup of tea, as you can tell, but I can see the merit in a bar like that! Top work!
