This is the setup i plan on getting.

Now, i have already bourght the JVC head unit and one of the Pioneer subs.
I don't plan on getting the second sub for awhile, but theres an option to do it if need be.
Are the speakers i've chosen good? I've heard Blaupunkt are good.
2 of the speakers will go on the back shelf and another 2 in the front doors.
The 2 amps will end up costing like $600 together, and i only really have $1000 to spend. So unless i change a few things around i really don't much more than $100 per speaker to spend.
Also, whats better? Splits or co-axials?
Any info would be great.

Splits are best upfront and Co axials better down the back..

Looks ok, nearly identical to my system :P
Just one thing though,
The sub amp is 4x100 wrms, then jumps to 2x 380wrms? that's a huge jump, didn't know amps could jump so high, i thought you'd effectively double the power to 200wrms. But yeh if you have plans on a 2nd sub, definately buy the 2nd amp. Though have a look at some jaycar monoblocks(if they make them) as these will probably work better with subs and may be abit cheaper.

Ah nice headunit, they are good little units.
When you buy speakers you always get what you pay for. But generally splits are better than coaxials. Splits will have better crossover networks which enables higher power handling and better response
Splits allow you to angle the tweeter on axis (generally hard to do with coaxials)

Internally the amp is running a 2 ohm load. Therefore it produces more power.
My amps do 4x110 then 2 x 440.
Monoblocks can have figures like 300w rms x 1 at 4 ohm and 1800w rms x 1 at 1 ohm. The lower impedance on the load allows this at the slight cost of reduced cone control.
But usually loading down is the most efficient means of getting more power. (if your amp can run lower)

Thanks for the info guys.
The problem i have with splits is trying to fit the tweeter somewhere. I think i'll be struggling to cut a hole in the door for the speaker, let alone another 4" hole for the tweeter. I could of course put them in the front dash. But all i've heard but that is really bad quality music.
Generally i want a very good QUALITY system. So i'm thinking i'll just buy 2 front splits for now worth $200ish and save up for 2 more later down the track.

simple way is the mid in the stock spot in the door and buy a set of VRX tweeter pods to wack them in. you wont need to be cutting holes in the doors.

What are tweeter pods?

Update ur profile... What model magna u got?
If you have a 3rd gen, you can order tweeter pods for around $37 from mitsu. These mount in the delta panel.
Sound alright there and are out of the way. But you notice separation between the mid and tweet. Raises stage a bit though.

cutting a hole in your door is a piece of piss. and as far as mounting your tweeter, remove your standard 4" speaker from its stock position, rip out the cone and bash the magnet off the back with a chisel and hammer, silicone the tweeter into the empty basket, run your wires and mount the thing back in the standard spot.
job done... the stage is raised slightly and i havnt noticed any seperation between mid and tweeter.
cheers
Zach
P.S. if you think mounting 2-way splits is hard, try finding a place for all of the speakers in my spanking new 4-way clarion splits!

You get very **** sound from the tweets if their bouncing off the windscreen though, apparently.
