Just had my car serviced (105,000km) and in this service they change the fuel filter.

I had this done yesterday, and how I have have smelt fuel a couple of times when exiting the car.

Just wondering where the fuel filter is in a TH?

And do you rekon they may have spilt some? Or is it leaking, cause I know fuel dries fast when spilt?

Any Ideas???

fuel filter is under the rear passenger seats - and yeah, its a worry.

if it's a bad leak you will still see it dripping out the bottom. check your fuel cap too it might be broken. i just changed mine some months ago.

the fuel filter is not under the backseat, its by the drivers (US) pass (AUS) rear wheel, next to the tank i belive

Yeah but you have to disconnect the power to the fuel pump first - this is done by opening up where the fuel sender unit is - which is under the rear seats.

well as the fuel filter is in front of the left rear wheel then technically its under the rear seat.

theres no need to disconect the pump
some times the fittings do leak they might need tightening up some more as there a metal to alloy fitting i think its a 14mm nut on the pipe and a 19mm on the filter
