Just been looking at a few cars today, and want some opinions. I've has my TJ auto for 2 years, thraashed it everyday and love it, but now its starrting to show some age (its on tranny no3)

Now Ive found a ralliart magna, manual 65ks on the clock for $24,000. Thought this is a pretty good buy, but when I see TL VRX's going for 23-25K, with only 10k's on the clock, it gets me thinking, should I just get a TL, thats still under warranty, than buy the ralliart and risk it. Then theres the resale value, The ralliart would hold is $$ better than the VRX. Ralliart has the LSD and better bodykit in it.

So I put it to you. What would you go with, What would you rather be seen in. I'm a driver and drive for the thrill, so

Discuss :doubt:

if you drive for thrill then get the ralliart, they look and go better and as you say will hold their value more than the TL

ralliart has more features and what u worried bout warrantee for ur probably gonna mod it anyways and void that warrante, and if u buy it from a dealer the ralliart should have the dealers warrante on it to

also

ralliart
lsd
better suspension
good zorst system only needs muffler
slightly larger cams
tuned ecu
a lil more hugging seats
better stereo
body kit

if ur give performance upgrades then ull replace most of this though ... ig go ralliart and lose the wing

yeah ralliart, as mentioned above, also its more limited edition, like you odnt see a ralliart everyday. well i guess you probalby wont see a tl vrx that often as there arnet many sold. maybe if you can get the price of the ralliart bit lower? as it has 65kms

How the hell did you go through 3 trannies in 2 years!

Maybe you better go for the car with the warranty.

Id go Ralliart for sure. Just seems like a more quality car in the end.

Id probably take black as well. Though white is tempting. :P

So does that mean you wait? Or TL VRX?
The black one was definately first choice.

I've got my eyes on a couple other TL Vr + VRX's, but yes, I would love a ralliart, so we will see. I would like to buy a new car by the end of the month, but if it happens, it does, if not, oh well. I will wait until I find the right car.

Found a Blue TL VR, 12,000k's retail at 24,000, will discuss with them today. (It has koni shocks front and rear  ) Have a chat and see how low they can go, and see what they throw in for me. Keep ya posted

yeh some wanker cut a hole in my rear bar to put a bloody towbar through it  and it looks ugly as hell...

as for the choice, its a hard one.. mainly because ralliarts are just awesome and i love the look of the TL's, especially the VRX's... if its brand new, i'd go the TL VRX simply because it is brand new, and becuase you get the 5/10 warranty.. considering now, ralliarts are getting on to be 3-4 years old (2002 models) and their warranty is nearly out..

but then again, the ralliart is limited, therefore might hold value better, has more features and looks like nothing else.. really i cant decide, its a hard choice.. if i was given the choice brand new TL VRX (obviously not brand new, but with much less kms) or a ralliart with 65,000kms id lean towards taking the TL.. definatley shop around though.. i got a ralliart with 18,000kms on it for $23,500 (only down side is its automatic)

good luck which ever way you choose.. they're both still magnas :D

Had a drive of one today(TL VR), and liked it a lot, won't buy it (hate the color, and had a few stains inside and interior felt worn, considering it had done only 15k's) But i'm just getting a feel for whats out there, i'm not going to rush into this purchase.
Thanks guys, keep you posted

Ok, i Have bee very busy the last 3 days, but I signed-on-the-Line, for a TL VR 03/04 factory demo, 13,000 ks, sapphire blue, manual, completly unmarked, 17inch Enkei rims. Take delivery of it next week. He couldnt budge on the price too much, but gave me 12K for my sub-std TJ with 90k's on the clock, due for servicing, Bald tyres, mismatched paint (rear door, don't ask, was damaged when the 3RD auto tranny was installed  )

Taking it for its last cruise tonight, and its going to get a hiding  , and tomorow the stereo is going to be stripped out, ready for my new baby next week :D :D

Its actually pretty sad when you sell your car - no matter what grief it gives you. How on earth did it go through 3 trannies - and how did your rear door get damaged!

He may not have budged on price, but it sounds like they may have over-valued your trade in. Anyway, aside from that fact, they will just pass it onto an auctioneer and it will end up on Perth's equivalent of Parramatta Rd.
