Hey guys...well my rear wheel bearings are making the usual noise...so i went out pulled the hubs off and inspected the bearings which i suspect are stuffed. Anyway i got the hub off...front bearing just fell out, but the rear bearing has like a plastic seal stopping it from being pulled out the back of the hub. Have any of u changed the rear bearings??? If so..how do i get this plastic seal (or what ever it is off) i didnt want to play around with it too much incase i stuff the lot. I thought about just buying new hubs....but the rotors are connected to them.
Any advice would be great
Thanks

when i bought new dics and bearings i just used a thin little screw driver and a small tap of hammer around the egde till it pops up. but do it so the screw driver is on the inside of the disc pushing the rubber and metal seal out . ull figure it out, where theres a will theres a way. oh yea on the back it the disc brake rotor with the wheel studs in the rotor and front and back bearings. u can get new rotors off ebay like i did for about $90 + postage. and go to repco and get a bearing kit (its for both sides) u just need to take the wheel studs out of the old rotors and put them back in the new rotors. i just used a good hammer and a steady hand to knock them out, takes a few good hits to get them in and out just dont stuff ur threads.ull feel the diffrence.just use good quality high temp bearing grease and over pack them with grease to be on the safe side. just my 2 bob

well guys i managed to replace my wheel bearings successfully....but now i got a problem with my right rear brake calliper......i put it back on and bleed the line....but now when i brake to locks onto the disk and doesnt release, then i have to pull the calliper off and wind the piston back in. Anyone have any solutions for this problem?

i suggest u just pull ur entire caliper apart, evey part then take a old tooth brush and metho and a bucket and give it all a good srcub clean. check all ur seals for broken ones . now lube it all up with clean brake fluid and put it bcak together. ud be suprized how much good that can do all ur calipers. just my 2 cents
