A few weeks ago I fitted a "VRX engine" cover which I painted with a silver engine enamel to my TJII exec. Ever since I fitted it I've been trying to decide what to 'decorate' it with.... it looked so 'plain' without the sticker on it.

Anyway - this afternoon after work I had a brain storm and decided to see what the 'magna' badge I took off my bootlid over a year ago would look like on it. Looks pretty damn good if you ask me....... (pics below), but now I've got the dilemma of what would be the best product to attach it to the engine cover with.

post suggestions........... NOW.

I've used Araldite in the engine bay before and its held fine.
Try glueing a piece of plastic to a piece of material similar to the cover with a hole drilled in it and bolt it in the area for a test. If it dont work, no loss.

Yer right about the idea though, that looks damn good

I'll give araldite a test out as you suggested - that stuff's pretty bullet proof. If anythings gonna give it will probably be the 'chrome plastic' finish on the MANGA badge.

Thanks for the comments doods :)

If you've taken the "3.5" Badge off of your side, that'd look fully shick on there too... Kind of fitting for the engine aswell.

thats going to be hektic uleh, well worth whatever you spent doing it, time and money

high temp epoxy, araldite may come unstuck with heat, considering that heat guns are whats used to remove things stuck with araldite.

you can buy high temp silicon (suitable up to 215 degs celcius).

It's stuck on there with araldite now - CBF'd testing it out........ worst case scenario - I'll have to sand back and repaint the engine cover.

use loctite 4070 unbeatable adhesive will not come unstuck with heat good for 250degrees.
