hey all, my mate stupidly wants to know if he could put a whole in his exhaust to make it sound chukier, i keep telling him its stupid but he wants to know, would it make it sound louder, and what damage would it do if any?????????

if u take u hubcaps off and paint the rims gold it increases by 40hp atw! and with the type r stickers that an increase of 60hp! and the hole in the muffler is atleast anutha 30hp! that car would be mad pimpin

lol it would actually make it sound louder but it would give it that rusty "putt putt" sound not a nice sound..
you can tell when an exhaust has a hole in it - yes its loud but damn it sounds crap!!

and i hope your friend likes stickers on his car cause he will have a bright yellow one on the front widescreen pretty quickly. A muffler with a hole has a very disinctive sound and the cops will know what it is straight away.

thankgod guys,. u just saved the day, hes finally convinced and believes me that he will get a yellow sticker and it sounds crap....hes actually thinking of getting the exhaust set up that im saving up for...the one that killbilly offered to me which sounds nice i reckon....buit i can still look around while i save... but hes gonna get a new exhaust and muffler in the next week just to make his car sound nice...buit he is a bit of a show pony and likes the girls to look at his car when he drives past em at the clubs and out the side of the shopping centers.......cheers again for all guys

Actually i put holes in the exhuast of the 2.6 TS (those were the good old days) and it sounded insane. But yes you'll probobly cop a yellow sticker if you anoy the boys in blue enough.

what about removing the frount resignator!! chamber and replacing it witha switch and a fork in the pipe one gowing to the rest of the piping muffler system and one gowing strait out!!!


then having a switch in side so u can change when eva u please!!!!

mabye just some new tips on the end of my exhaust??

By wapping your rear muffler will enable you to change the note of your exhuast so its pretty much trial and error till you get it right.

Removing the resonator also will make your exhaust louder but will add to the drone...

Noisy exhausts shit me (unless its a properly done exhaust system).. Makes me want to trash their car when they park it... Or laugh really loud at them..

Well if you are going to paint you wheels gold leave the inside of the hub caps white, this is required to get the full 225 hp at the wheels on a day that is warmer than the other day when I tried last to get a reading but there may have been more moisture in the air, or was it the other way around? Hmm have to take a trip to the NT to work this one out me thinks LOL
