hey guys..
I've got a 4 channel alpine mrv305 or mrf 304 something like that (4x50w rms i think)
and an avalanche AV800 4 channel as well..(4x200w max)
the question is...what would be the bettee setup
run my splits and rears off the alpine and the subs off the Avalanche or the other way around
i'm after clarity and sound quality rather than boom boom.
or should i get some differnt amps altogether???
cheers on your thoughts

Run the Subs off the Avalanche and the Speakers off the Alpine..

I would say the avalanche for the subs, however:
I also have this amp (Exact same one).
I'm guessing by "subs" you mean you have 2?
Heres the problem, the av800 doesn't allow LPF on the fronts, only the rears, the only way to get around this would be to set the fronts to full, then use the subwoofer out on your headunit. If you do not have a subwoofer out on the headunit, then the only other way for it to work would be to run 1 sub off the rears of each amp, then the fronts off each amp to run the in car speakers. Now the problem with that setup is, you can get varying sounds coming out of the speakers.

yes, i know!!damn LPF!!!, why did it only have it on the rears!!! (this has been discussed in another thread!!hahahah)...
i may just sell the AV800 and get a good 2 channel, or even a monoblock for the sub (s), depending on the woofer setup i'd want to go for..(damn.. more money!)
