View Full Version : weekend Engine swap
hi im just wondering if there is anything i should look out for when i sawp engines between 2 cars, one is an auto and one is a manual, are their ECU's the same sould i sawp them? and what type of work would be involved, it should be done over the w/e im hoping and does the car need a tune up after the engine transfer?

The fuel maps will be different from auto to manual...autos will run a bit richer. So you might want to swap them around for the sake of fuel economy

auto comps and manual comps are different, if u want more performance with the manual leave the auto comp in they have a better fuel map and but if u want better fuel usage use the manual comp. this is what i have been told bout maunal and auto comps
hey thanx guys, its only temporarly anyway because an engine management will runn things after when the supercharger goes on, so im not to fussed but a little more performance couldnt hurt for the time being...
