Yep, I need a head. See here's the problem I live in USA and we have this stupid emissions bullcrap that causes manufactures to put non-sense like jet valves and what not. Anyway I hear the Magna uses a 2.6 engine that does not have jet valves. Well, I need one. If anyone wants to make a few bucks, and knows of a head maybe in a scrap yard or just in someone's garage, let me know how much money you want. I have an 88 Conquest Tsi Turbo. As far as I know all generations of Magna's heads will fit the newer the better someone said. My name is Steve, and if there is any technical advice you may need or a part from the US let me know.

Well gen1 magnas are a very common car at the wreckers... every wrecker will have at least 4-5 magnas at the minimum..

I dunno if you are interested, but a gen2 magna head (TR/TS magna) is a 8v SOHC with roller rockers. may have to do a little research about those heads fitting on your conquest but as far as i know, the gen2 block is pretty much the same as gen1 block.

A head with roller rockers will be probably a little more expensive than the gen1 head. just a suggestion about the roller rockers... but gen1 heads are a very common part here in aus... if your looking for a second hand one, it'll be cheap - but magnas with astrons have a real bad habit of cracking heads - so by the time you get the head checked out for cracks, or machined, etc etc, the cost might be worth getting a new one. you can even still buy them new from mitsu themselves i believe (they are about AUS$300-$400... sometimes you can find them on ebay too)
