All
I have a remote for a 2001 Magna Executive that started going on the blink (ie working intermittently) I thought this was due to a flat battery and so replaced the battery. A Holden Mechanic friend of mine told me to reprogram a Holden Key to turn the ignition on and press the two buttons on the remote. After I replaced the battery the remote did not work at all so I tried this with the magna and it seemed to work. With the ignition on I pressed the buttons and the car beeped and the remote started to work. However after a short while it went back to being intermittent. I can place the key back into the ignition press the button again and it works for a time. I assume I am not reprogramming the key correctly. Does anyone know how to reprogram the remote or do I have to go back to Mitsubishi.
Thanks for your time
Pete
