I want to paint my calipers, but would like to sand it a bit first (just the surface). The stock calipers are rough and therefore collect alot of dirt (road & brake dust) on its surface in no time & will look terrible (the Brembo or Porsche calipers look great due to their fine surfaces). Will this ruin the calipers, and if not, what grit paper should i use. Did somebody do it before.

prolly best to use a dremel with a polishing tool and just make sure u only polish the external surfaces, and not bolt holes or anything like that. JUST the external surfaces and i dont see how it would affect them.

Sorry to hitch-hike this thread but just wanna check if removing the wheels to paint the callipers will affect their alignment/balancing? 'Cos i just had mine done at the shop when i fitted my new wheels during the weekend.
