Finally saved enough coins to buy new shoes for my Solara and lowered her on King springs with Monroe GT Gas Reflex. Attached are the transformation photos...
Took the car for a spin after the suspension done this morning. Definitely well worth the coins. No drama from speed bumps neither. :D

Quite frankly i don't know much about shockies either. I just did a little research and liked what i read on the GT Gas Reflex. Plus Monroe offers 3 years warranty. Here's a review if you're interested:

I got King Springs Low on both ends. Was tossing between Superlow and Low for the front but ended up with Low for the peace of mind when it comes to insurance, height clearance, comfort bla... bla... bla... you get the drift.

Just talked to RACV, Bob Jane, VicRoads and back to RACV (in that particular order) regarding the status of my insurance policy now that i've upgraded my wheels. Looks like there are a lot of misconceptions regarding wheels modification. General impression i got was that an increase by more than 2" in rims size from stock is disallowed. Apparently, the actual criteria is the increase in the "overall diameter" of the wheel (rim + tyre).
In my case, though i upgraded from 15" rims to 18" the new diameter is still spot on with the previous one, hence no drama with VicRoads nor RACV. I asked RACV at least 3 times if that is true and their answers were the same everytime: "We're not worried about the size of your rims as long as the overall diameter of the wheels are within 15mm of the manufacturer's specification and meet the load index. If it's fine with VicRoads, it's fine with RACV."
My Tire Size Comparison
Specification / Sidewall / Radius / Diameter / Circumference / Revs per Mile / Difference
205/65-15 / 5.2in / 12.7in / 25.5in / 80.1in / 791 / 0.0%
235/40-18 / 3.7in / 12.7in / 25.4in / 79.8in / 794 / -0.4%
Do read VicRoads vehicle modification guide for future mod reference: http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/vrpdf/rdsafe/VSI%208.pdf
