its just an illuminisent sheeting... low power runns through, creates a little neon-like/glowing effect. Sheets cost around 100$, so i think you'll be just fine.

im sorry about the mum comment  lol

Well if he has no idea on what people would pay for it.. then if he chucks up an auction to see what people are prepared to pay, to see what kinda price he should be looking at?..

Maby post up here roughly what you "want" to pay for it, so he can work out his figures n get back with a price.

I'd be interested in how you actually attach the thing

Screws would have to be perfectly lined up, and have to make sure they are the perfect diameter and suitable thread, pitch, length etc., otherwise you might poke a hole or put a dent in the boot lid.

Hiding the screws would be another mission too. I'm a very pedantic person..the smallest details bug me.lol

meiztom

hey eek, the screws do have to be matched up very closely but it is not very hard it is a matter of placing the screw in through the board then slightly moving the board around until the screw falls into the whole in the boot lid metal ( this is after the boot lid has been drilled into).

My screws were also the right length and diameter and fit quite good with enough safe clearance from the surface boot lid. im not sure what you mean exactly by thread and pitch. To hid my screws i painted them black and they blended in well but you are always going to see them. unless there is some way to hid them that i am unaware of.

hope that answered your questions buddy.

P.S. my boot pieces come with the neccessary screws and drill pieces.
