View Full Version : got a dyno reading today
well put the beast on the dyno after getting a few things..
lost 10hp  but thats caz i aint got the computer,
so pete did a few things on the tune and i got 219.3HP at the wheels with some wheels spin
not bad since the first run was 139hp haha it was running sooo rich
haltec here we come :D and hopefully over 250 hp :D
oh and had to change the fuel filter and put on the bigger calipers :D

 250hp atw n/a good luck mate:thumbsup:
got my clutch done for $850 fitted that was just over a year and a half ago now...
without i actually had 150hp caz of the loss from the manifold :doubt: but that will change in a couple of weeks,
Next mod is the Haltec then have to start saving again for the turbo but that can wait seeing christmas is also just around the corner
took it for a spin last night on the highway and holy crap it is just crazy,

Wheel spin on a dyno? :doubt:

So how did they 'tune' it if you haven't got the haltech in yet?
Wheel spin on a dyno? :doubt:
um yeh, ring up and ask any dyno place and see if they get wheel spin on a dyno
and blackbeard, they just played with my fuel settings through the reg
So what mods exactly have you done so far to reach that power?
So what mods exactly have you done so far to reach that power?
Extractors, exhaust, 6g74 injectors, rpw manifold with ramtubes and high flow throttle body, fuel reg and bigger fuel pump thats about it.
but once the new ecu is in then it will be more fun :D

Shouldn't get wheelspin if the car's strapped down properly....... the dyno day I was at on the weekend had an XR6T putting 304kW to the rollers without spinning the wheels - but yeah, it does happen - just wouldn't expect it on such low Hp.
Meh - what sort of air intake you running? because my power is significantly down on what I expected based on dyno figures (S.O.T.P dyno tells a different story tho  ). I've got my suspicions my air intake setup is the reason.....
either way - I'm sure we'll be able to compare notes on the 27th......
*edit - any idea what you're air/fuel ratio is sitting at? I'm wondering if mine could lean out abit more?*
wheel spin just happened, dunno, it was tied down, oh well...
in the process of ordering the ecu right now so i'll get a new Dyno before 27th
fuel ratio, he said something but said it was perfect so dunno wat kinda figures they are meant to say, like 151 or something :S

unreal bud if you hit 250hp sprintex should be upping the power from those supachargassss

Having experience NOS and other things wheelspin with a FWD vehicle is very commen on roller dyno's especialy when you start pulling some very large torque figures (Note I said torque not horsepower) because the car tries to lift itself off teh dyno versus a rear wheel drive vehicle which drives itself into the dyno.
But tying down tighter will help a little but you are reachign the same point i reached with my car which mean't that the only way I can tune it properly is to use a hub dyno.

Wheel spin on a dyno? :doubt:
You should have been in perth to see Mitsiman's TT on the Hyperdrive dyno, it got to about 3500 and 250ish horsepower and then just broke loose smoke and stuff everywhere, gotta love it :) and just about every second modified two wheel drive on our dyno manages to break traction at some stage, we even had an R34 GTR breaking traction, that was interesting :P I'll have to post up the dyno results one day, got some 550kw at the wheels.

I also saw a clip of an R33 GTR making over 550kW on the dyno, it looked like it wanted to jump off the rollers :P
